Motorik drones; ambient drifts; exotic grooves and unexplained noises... Datashock is one of the few legitimate heirs to the true communal spirit of early Krautrock, faithful as much to the exploratory spirit of counterculture Germany as they are to the music itself.

James Plotkin, a well-known and beloved influence for me and many others, makes some beautiful and strange noise with some people that I am less familiar with. The resultant album is quite an immersive journey to say the least. Exotic and alien sounds abound across these two long-playing tracks and yet they feel eternally grounded in some tangible reality here on earth. Exquisite stuff. Cody Drasser
